Reiki (pronounced Ray-Key) is an energy healing technique using the hands, that is done with ease and power to promote wellness. It is intended to help patients with stress management, emotional balance and to improve the quality of life. Reiki differs from Massage Therapy because the healers hands remain still and do not knead or manipulate the muscles. Also, the patient remains fully clothed during their treatment. In the life force energy of Reiki, the person who has been attuned as a Reiki healer has had his or her body channels opened and cleared of obstructions. Healers are able to channel the life force healing energy to others. Pam has received the attunements of a Reiki Healer and is a Reiki Master, part of the lineage of Mikao Usui who was the principal founder of Reiki in the 1800’s. A reiki treatment unblocks and balances the body's seven chakras and allows the healing energy to channel through the patient. Each energy center is associated with various emotions and physical functions.
